Abstract

Strengthening existing mental health and substance use disorder (SUD) parity laws, improving community mental health services and authorizing a significant increase in the Mental Health Services Block Grant (MHBG), are among the provisions present in the legislation to reauthorize key programs that are set to expire in September and are endorsed by more than 30 health, addiction and mental health organizations.
