Bill would prohibit seclusion, limit restraint in schools

Abstract

Federal legislation to establish strong federal standards to prohibit the use of seclusion and to limit restraint in federally funded schools, and improve the safety of students and school staff, has been introduced by House lawmakers. The bill would also ensure parents are informed when their child is physically restrained.
