Abstract

Less than a week after the U.S. surgeon general's issuance of a public health advisory to provide recommendations on addressing mental health challenges confronting children, adolescents and young adults (see MHW, Dec. 13), Senate lawmakers have introduced what observers say may provide some solution: legislation to boost the availability of mental health resources and investments in more mental health providers in public schools.
