Abstract

The authors discuss the implementation of exact simulations of passive filters by switched-current techniques, using the bilinear transformation, but avoiding the use of true bilinear integrators. It is shown that the synthesis can be easily done directly using switched-current Euler integrators, without passing through an intermediary switched-capacitor filter. The method is exemplified for low-pass filters built with "second-generation" Euler integrators.
