Abstract

ERCP provides accurate anatomic information and potential therapy in patients with obstructive jaundice.1,2 Pancreatic cancer and cholangiocarcinoma are the most common causes of malignant biliary obstruction in adults. Less commonly, metastatic colon cancer to the peripancreatic or peri-biliary lymph nodes may result in biliary obstruction.3 Intraductal metastases in the biliary tree are an unusual cause of biliary obstruction and are most commonly associated with hepatoma.4 Four patients with colon cancer leading to biliary intraductal metastases have been described previously.
