Abstract

Abstract Bronchopulmonary sequestration (BPS) is a congenital anomaly within the spectrum of abnormalities that can affect the normal development of airways, lung parenchyma, and vasculature. It accounts for up to 6.4% of all congenital pulmonary malformations. Sequestrated lung is a nonfunctioning mass of lung tissue that lacks communication with the tracheobronchial tree and is supplied by systemic arterial circulation. Pulmonary sequestration is usually a unilateral disease, bilateral pulmonary sequestration is a rare entity. Herein we present the case of a 26year old female, evaluated for cough with expectoration, hemoptysis and loss of weight, whose radiology suggestive of bilateral bronchopulmonary sequestration.
