Abstract

Posterior dislocation of the shoulder is an uncommon injury, constituting 2% to 4% of all shoulder dislocations, whereas fracture-dislocations are even more rarely encountered.1 Posterior fracture-dislocations are usually caused by a massive contraction of shoulder girdle muscles; however, when bilateral, they are pathognomonic for either a convulsive disorder or an electric shock injury.2,5,6,8
