Abstract

The novel pandemic of COVID-19 caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 has challenged the medical community worldwide. Several ocular implications of this infection have also emerged. Clinically, many COVID-19 cases are presenting with mild conjunctivitis, which can be the first and only symptom. Few cases of sub-retinal changes like hyper-reflectivity in optical coherence tomography, cotton-wool spots in retina, and oculo-motor nerve palsy have also been reported. Few cases of Optic neuritis are also being reported in association with COVID-19 most of them being in adult patients. Here, we present a rare case of 16 year old female child with bilateral optic neuritis following COVID-19 infection.
