Abstract

In cases of in vitro fertilisation and extremely infrequently with frozen embryo transfer, hyperstimulated, enlarged ovaries and their consequences might be detected in the late stages of pregnancy, even at term.. Ovarian torsion induced by hyperstimulated ovaries can be difficult to diagnose during pregnancy, hence pregnant IVF patients should be closely monitored whether or not they have OHSS.. Although severe and critical OHSS cannot be totally prevented, early detection of high-risk variables, as well as sensible prevention and treatment techniques, can help to minimise the complications and long-term consequences of this iatrogenic illness.
