Abstract

9cells per L and a C-reactive protein concentration of 2629 nmol/L. MRI showed several facial, intraorbital, and intracranial abscesses with bilateral cavernous sinus thrombosis. The patient was given intravenous antibiotics and underwent surgical drainage of the abscesses. Bacterial cultures were positive for Streptococcus anginosus. The patient’s condition improved after 3 weeks and he completely recovered.
