On examination, she was deaf in the right ear. An MRI scan revealed bilateral cerebellopontine angle (CPA) masses, larger on the left than the right, despite the right-sided hearing loss, and multiple, dural-based supratentorial masses (Fig. 1). She initially underwent complete resection of the right CPA lesion in March 2005.
