Abstract

The article proposes a method for cleaning impulse noise from random pixel intensity and location on images. The proposed method is based on a bilateral and median filter for impulse detection and noise removal. The experimental part showed that the proposed filter makes it possible to clean this type of noise with high efficiency. The method's effectiveness is especially noticeable at the high intensity of this type of impulse noise. The obtained results can be applied to various digital image processing tasks, such as medical image analysis and satellite image processing.
