Abstract

I. In Webster's paper [2] on the biholomorphic mappings of algebraic hypersurfaces in C n , one has proved, in particular, that a biholomorphic mapping of an ellipsoid onto another one is linear (provided these ellipsoids are not equivalent to a sphere) and one has given the biholomorphic classification of the ellipsoids. In this note we give a classification of the same kind for a class of subvarieties of codimension two in C 2
