AbstractBorn in the era of big data, many new things have emerged, and new educational methods and tools have been provided for the main body of ideological and political education (IAPE). IAPE in universities is an important part of national talent training. Big data technology has played a very important role in IAPE methods in colleges and universities. The purpose of this article is to promote the innovative development of IAPE in colleges and universities in the era of big data. First of all, study the cause and origin of big data, the main characteristics and realistic impacts. Second, analyze the actual environment. Dialectically and uniformly evaluate the educational environment. Evaluate the ideological situation and level in the data age, find out the key issues and points, and then investigate the impact and role of big data on the object of IAPE. The experimental results show that when investigating college students’ suggestions on the use of new media tools and resources for IAPE in the era of big data, 690 college students in Ningxia chose to “strengthen the construction of new media technology hardware facilities, and do a good job of maintenance and update” It accounted for 80.7% of the surveyed people.KeywordsEra of big dataIdeological and political educationNew media technologyCollege students
