Abstract

Whether technology giants and other big data collectors should brace themselves for the next big showdown with the European Commission remains to be seen. It is nevertheless becoming clear from national competition authority enquiries that two domains will attract the largest antitrust scrutiny: the use of big data to enhance dominance; and the algorithmic processing of big data in a collusive manner.
