Abstract

In the big data era, the decision making of supply chain management is increasingly driven by data instead of experience. Nevertheless, the traditional strategies of supply chain management impose many constraints to the full usage of data. This paper presents a data-driven supply chain management framework. Firstly, the development history of supply chain management is reviewed. Secondly, the proposed framework is illustrated through a conceptual analogy with the power split device of hybrid vehicles. Next, data relevant to different aspects of supply chain management is discussed. Lastly, some new value propositions are raised based on the data-driven supply chain management.
