Abstract

With the rise of big data, its impact has becoming apparent even in the Higher Education sector. The strategic use and applications of big data in higher education would lead to higher educational quality and better student and staff experience. Using the output from UK JISC's BI projects, this paper reviews and outlines some cases of big data analytics in the UK Higher Education institutions, followed by some research implications for future big data research in Higher Education.
