Abstract

Purpose: The direct purchasing of foreign goods is very useful and can be an effective tool in terms of expanding into the overseas marke and various developments related to e-commerce, Internet of Things and online payment system, etc. The purpose of this study is to find ways to delivery types of cross-border logistics for foreign direct purchasing, to apply the big data analytics the from the transaction processes of foreign direct purchasing, and to establish and review the development strategy for direct purchasing of foreign goods. Research design, data, and methodology: The study examined domestic and foreign literature related to cross-border logistics and big data analysis. Also, the major issues and development plan results of smart logistics and cross-boarder logistics were analyzed from logistics and professors who are affiliated with domestic universities and practitioners. Results: With the rapid increase in overseas direct sales, it is possible to create new opportunities for online transactions through reverse direct search, and big data analysis can be used as a very useful tool as it can identify trends and consumption behaviors of overseas direct customers in advance. An the bonded import method has the advantage of greatly reducing the logistics cost and delivery time, and is considered an efficient logistics shipping method for cross-border e-commerce. Conclusions: While the domestic offline retail sales growth rate has increased very low, the online shopping transaction volume has been increasing at a faster pace due to the recent influence of Corona19. The consumer s consumption trend reflects the characteristic of changing from offline to online and mobile, and moreover, the reliance on direct purchasing of foreign goods, which is a form in which online shopping is expanding into overseas markets, is also increasing. This change has led to fierce competition in the world s major ports to attract multinational corporations logistics bases, and promotes the expansion of port facilities, advancement of port functions, and diversification. Therefore, in this study, we studied the efficient cross-border logistics that can secure the opportunity to expand their products and services to overseas markets and improve the smart logistics through big data analytics when it is direct purchasing of foreign goods.
