Abstract

CiteSpace III software was used for bibliometric research on the development of multi-scale calculation of carbon nanotubes. By analyzing 1253 relevant articles in the SCI Expanded database, the methods including keyword time zone map, literature co-cited network cluster analysis, keyword cluster network, etc., were used to deeply analyze the research trends in this field. It was found that significant progress has been made in the research of multi-scale calculation of carbon nanotubes from 1999 to 2023. The time zone distribution of keywords revealed the evolution of research focus. Literature co-citation network analysis helped us understand the knowledge base and important research results in this field. In addition, keyword cluster network analysis revealed the research hotspots during various periods, which is helpful to grasp the development of the field of multi-scale calculation of carbon nanotubes. Finally, through the keyword breakout analysis, the hot research directions in the future were predicted, including “free vibration”, “graphene oxide” and “interfacial property”. This study provides profound insight and is expected to provide important guidance for researchers and policymakers in the field of multi-scale calculation of carbon nanotubes, so as to promote further innovation and development in the field.
