Abstract
Abstract In this study, the behavior under biaxial tension of two types of glass knitted fabrics, a rib and a milano weft knit, was investigated. The tests were performed using a homemade biaxial tester, which is capable of applying displacement velocity in two orthogonal directions independently. The ultimate deformation in both wale and course directions was determined at different displacement ratios. Furthermore, geometrical models were developed for the rib knit to predict the ultimate deformation. Good agreement with experimental results was achieved.
