Abstract

The Z-scheme heterojunction Bi4O7/AgBiO3 photocatalysts were synthesized by hydrothermal method. It exhibited excellent photocatalytic degradation efficiency (74.87%) for phenol, which is 2.6 and 4.5 times more efficient than pure AgBiO3 and Bi4O7, respectively. The improvement of photocatalytic performance can be ascribed the enhanced photo-induced charge separation efficiency of the Z-scheme heterostructure through various characterization analysis and experiment tests. In addition, the effective degradation of other organic pollutants like bisphenol A, tetracycline and ciprofloxacin of Bi4O7/AgBiO3 was also confirmed. This study provides a reference for designing photocatalysts that can degrade organic pollutants efficiently.
