Abstract
Abstract The texts of Zsuzsa Bánk (being born in Germany to Hungarian parents, so growing up bilingually, writing in German and having at least one character with a Hungarian background performing in each of her works) explore affiliations. This is perhaps best seen in the volume of stories The Hottest Summer. With the present contribution, it was my aim to examine spatial concepts in this volume as concepts of belonging.
