Abstract

It’s been a decade since Brenner and colleagues published their landmark paper1 suggesting that the radiation doses from paediatric computed tomography (CT) scans would cause a significant number of cancer deaths, sometime in the future. The following day the story hit the front page of USA Today, and the world of CT scans was changed forever.
