Abstract

The prompt diagnosis of the impending rupture of abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAAs) is imperative for rapid treatment.1 Most ruptures will manifest as retroperitoneal hematomas; intraperitoneal extravasation is rarely seen.2 It usually requires several hours from the occurrence of intramural hemorrhage to extravasation into the periaortic soft tissues.
