Abstract
OVERVIEW:DuPont has developed a structural framework—the “Business Initiative Process”—to help its business leadership and development teams navigate successfully through the new business development (NBD) minefield. A key element of this framework is a comprehensive set of guidelines and tools to support the development teams as they drive their NBD projects. These guidelines and tools cover the full range of NBD activities from business case development through detailed development and alliance negotiation to full commercial launch.
