Abstract

The chaos of the past few years has shown that nonprofits need to be agile and adaptable to change in order to succeed. However, the sector is often quite change averse—the fear of losing a critical funding source, for example, can place limits on how far an organization will go to adapt to new ideas or operating conditions. Similarly, internal structures and entrenched leadership might also hinder an organization's ability to quickly adjust to new ways of doing things.
