W E personally are no lovers of governmental bureaucracy and agree wholeheartedly with the premise that once a government agency has outlived its usefulness it should be liquidated immediately. It would be very shortsighted i n our opinion to abolish the National Production Authority at this time or even by the first of the year when the steel shortage is expected to be less stringent. The chemicad indxistry, particularly, should want to see NPA maintained in a stand-by condition manned by competent leaders from the industry. The Korean police action is by no means settled. It may flare up into a full-scale military operation at a moment's notice and who can say with any degree of certainty that Soviet imperialistic designs may not Bring another police action in the Middle East, the Far East or a full-scale attack on Western Europe? Only industrial leaders of trie chemical industry with very short memories will fail to remember ...
