Abstract
• We present here the “French National Protocol for the Diagnosis and Care of Autoimmune hepatitis (AIH)” commissioned by the French National Health Authority (Haute Autorité de Santé; HAS) and formulated by a group of experts from national reference centers throughout France who carried out a critical analysis of the international literature, taking account of international guidelines. This document updates information on the epidemiology, diagnosis, management and outcomes of AIH in adults and children.
