Abstract

The First European Congress on Continuing Training will be held in Berlin in October 9 and 10. The complex imagery portrayed by the name, “Berlin”, means that we should all think carefully about the concerns and endeavours of the city's government. A major aspect of its positioning strategy is to build upon its reputation as a centre of European education excellence. With over 150 senior educational and training institutes, it ranks as a works leading centre for technological and managerial education and training. EMJ interviewed Senator Elmar Pieroth, Senator of Economics and Employment, on the city's view of the importance of technology and management education and training.
