Abstract

The patterns of the 1H NMR spectra of phosphine carbonyl complexes of chromium, molybdenum, and tungsten synthesized up to the present time are explained. The spectra are assigned to the following types: AX 3, AKX 3, AAX 3X 3, AA∝A “X 3X∝ 3X“ 3, and AA∝BB∝X 3X∝ 3Y 3Y∝ 3. Chemical shift data of 31P nuclei of phosphine, trichloro-, tribromo-, and triiodophosphine carbonyl complexes of chromium, molybdenum, and tungsten are discussed.
