Abstract
The reaction of Fe(CO)5 with LiNiPr2 and subsequent treatment with Et3OBF4 results in the formation of (CO)4 Fe[C(NiPr2)OC2H5] (1). As a second product the cyclic carbene complex (2) is formed.
