Abstract

This paper proposes orthogonalizing matched filter (OMF) detection with RAKE and antenna diversity reception for mobile DS-CDMA systems. OMF is a blind interference canceller controlling its coefficients adaptively by minimizing the average output power under a constraint coefficient condition. The OMF scheme with RAKE reception includes matched filters which are orthogonal to the desired signal multipath components. The OMF scheme with antenna diversity reception utilizes the OMF with RAKE reception for each diversity branch. Computer simulation results of both reverse and forward links show the effectiveness of the schemes under multipath fast fading environments.
