Abstract
By using the matrix inversion theorem and the characteristic function (CF) of the sum of gamma random variables (RVs) and an alternative expression of Q-function, a simple and closed-form bit-error-rate (BER) expression is derived for the quasisynchronous uplink multicarrier code-division multiple-access (MC-CDMA) systems with minimum mean square error (MMSE) receiver in Nakagami-m fading channels. The closed-form BER expression can be efficiently used for the evaluation of BER performance for the MC-CDMA systems with MMSE detector.
