Abstract
Studies on rearing and development of the Peach Buprestid,Capnodis tenebrionis L. (Col., Buprestidae). The composition of a semisynthetic medium for rearing the Peach Buprestid,C. tenebrionis, and the techniques for handling the insects and their eggs in the laboratory are described.The period required for the biological cycle using this medium and the techniques described are about the same as the required on natural hosts. However the medium is not yet a perfect substitute for the natural food of the larvae and further experiments is carried out at present to reconsider it.
