Abstract

Hydrogen bondings in carbon tetrachloride solutions of secondary sulphonamides XSO 2NHY have been examined. It appears, that NH⋯O double bridges have been formed. The association is strong. The average energy of the hydrogen bonds was measured to 4 kcal/mol for N-aromatic compounds and 2 kcal/mol for N-aliphatic compounds respectively. The results have been interpreted.
