Abstract
Benign lymphoid hyperplasia (BLH) is a benign reactive process within the small intestine that is not uncommonly encountered during ileoscopy or capsule endoscopy. Severe, life-threatening GI hemorrhage caused by BLH, however, is extremely rare. To the best our knowledge, only 2 additional cases of obscure overt GI bleeding from BLH have been described. We present an additional case of a 41-year-old man with severe hemorrhage from nodular lymphoid hyperplasia of the terminal ileum.
