Abstract

Primary angiosarcoma of spleen is a rare and aggressive tumour arising from the endothelial lining of the splenic sinuses, with very poor outcome. Due to similarity in clinical and radiological features, they are often mistaken for benign splenic lesions and misdiagnosed. We present two cases where they were misdiagnosed as splenic haemangioma and splenic abscess. Both patients ultimately underwent splenectomy but succumbed to this aggressive disease.
