Abstract
ABSTRACT.One hundred patients with benign epileptiform transients of sleep (BETS) seen on their electroencephalograms (EEGs) were compared with 100 control patients without BETS in reference to their sleep habits, sleep disruptions, and daytime sleepiness. No statistically significant differences between the two groups were observed. We believe that BETS are not markers of subjective sleep abnormalities.
