Abstract

In this chapter, an analysis and discussion on benign pulmonary and bronchial tumors and cysts are presented on the basis of clinical data of 202 cases treated at the Fu-Wai Hospital and the Cancer Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, during a 25 year period, 1956–1982. Bronchial adenoma is not included. Bronchopulmonary cysts discussed here are mostly of congenital origin. Other cystic lesions such as bullae and blebs, pulmonary sequestrations, cystic bronchiectasis, and parasitic cysts are not included (Table 34–1).
