Abstract

ABSTRACT The paper reports a useful approach, benefit segmentation, for financial investment services. This approach differs from previous segmentation studies which usually partition financial services customers based on consumer demographics or the characteristics of financial institutions. Using an empirical study as an example, the authors show how a segmentation procedure based on benefits sought can be useful for financial services and other service organizations.
