Abstract

The mild taste and suitable texture of individual cheeses portions for children are appreciated by children and can play a role in their dietary education. Because they are attractive, they encourage the consumption of cheese, an essential source of calcium, and can be part of strategies for diversifying the child’s dietary repertory, combined with other foods. Often offered in individual portions, these cheeses help parents give the child good pointers on the amount of food to eat. Finally, these cheeses are designed to bring a fun dimension to the meal and the course, helping the child to become familiar with certain foods and making them easier to eat.
