Abstract
Background and Objective: This study was aimed at investigating the beneficial effect of olmesartan in myocarditis and pancreatitis in murine coxsakievirus B3 (CVB3) infection. Method: 4 weeks old male A/J mice were inoculated with CVB3 and divided into 2 groups. Olmesartan (15mg/kg) was injected intraperitonearly from day 0 to 14 in group ARB, and mice were not treated in group CV. Myocardial histopathology and the quantitative RT-PCR of CVB3 genome and mRNA of INOS and BNP in hearts were examined.
