Benchmarking mean dispatch, lift-off and scene times in rotor-wing air medical transport scene flights

Abstract

Introduction: Dispatch, lift-off and scene times are considered important parameters in rotor-wing air medical transport, balancing safety, reality and the needs of our patients and customers. Many programs track these times carefully as part of their ongoing quality assurance programs, yet there are no accepted industry-wide standards. Our goal is to establish dispatch, lift-off and scene time benchmarks for emergency rotor-wing scene flights.
