Miss Kinch (Corning Hospital School of Nursing, Corning, N.Y.; B.S., Hunter College; M.A., New York University) is assistant director of nursing at the Bellevue Hospital Center, in charge of staff education and inservice programs. She has worked at the scene of several disasters as a member of Bellevue's disaster unit and, more recently, has been responsible for assisting with the administrative nursing aspects of the unit and also for planning and executing training programs in first aid work and ambulance duties for professional and nonprofessional personnel. Within minutes after the alarm sounds its 7-7-7 catastrophy signal, Bellevue's disaster unit is en route to the scene, ready to set up and staff an emergency field hospital wherever it's needed.
