Abstract

The basic superconducting properties such as Tc and Hc2 have been investigated for the sputter-deposited, proximity-coupled Nb/Co and V/Co superconductor/ferromagnet multilayers. Tc as a function of Co-thickness (dCo) for both Nb/Co and V/Co first decreases rapidly in the very thin dCo region, followed by the nearly flat region on thicker side. This behavior in Tc is closely related to the dimensionality in the superconducting characteristics of the present multilayers.
