Abstract

A sequential randomized trial has found that both behavioral therapy and the sedative‐hypnotic zolpidem improved daytime symptoms of insomnia, such as mood disturbances and functional impairments. Adding a second stage of therapy resulted in additional improvements in daytime functioning, the investigators found. Study results were published online Dec. 28, 2023, in JAMA Network Open.
