Abstract

Behavioral orientation for oviposition is demonstrated in Aedes vexans, the inland floodwater mosquito. Wall stimulus is an independent oviposition cue, with a threshold height of 13 mm for the attraction of ovipositing mosquitoes. As wall height is increased, more eggs are laid close to the wall.
