Abstract

This paper deals with the study of Behavioral analysis of PV Static Synchronous Series Compensator for grid fault during day and night time with ANFIS (Adaptive Neuro Fuzzy Inference System) Control. The innovation of utilizing the technology of solar farm as Static Synchronous Series Compensator is alluded as PV-SSSC. Since most of the energy during night time will be unutilized from the solar panels, therefore up to some extent to enhance the Available Transfer Capability of the transmission network, FACTS controllers in the solar farm are adapted to interact with the Grid Connected system. To enhance the stable transmission limits of power, voltage and damping control are incorporated with the whole rating of inverter of solar farm, normally remains dormant during night time. A three phase to ground fault analysis study has been carried out on a realistic single machine infinite bus power system with PV-SSSC using Matlab/Simulink simulation software. The graphical comparisons for the fault analysis with various controllers for both during day and night are demonstrated in a single machine infinite bus system and also the power transfer capability for each case study is tabulated with specific parameters.
