Abstract

1. Dispersed boron nitride particles are unstable in a molybdenum matrix and, at a temperature of 1600°C, form with the molybdenum a new solid phase of a metallic character in equilibrium with another phase, which differs only little from pure molybdenum. 2. Dispersed aluminum nitride particles are stable in a molybdenum matrix at temperatures up to 1800°C. No reaction or formation of a new phase was observed at these temperatures.
