Abstract

The study focused on various energy and resource conservation efforts carried out by employees in response to sustainable-operation initiatives introduced by the organization. The research utilized qualitative research technique to provide the details of aligning productivity improvement measures to energy and resource conservation practice. Giving attention to the response of the employees, the study pointed out the importance of behavior change, and voluntary simplicity lifestyle toward the creation of an energy and resource conservation model. Results suggested the incentivized motivation, and conscious reduction of unnecessary consumption, and voluntary simplicity can have positive environmental and sustainable benefits for the organization.
